2016 is only our second year to bottle a Nizza riserva, our best barrels from our best vines from our best harvest.
Visual: Intense ruby red. Nose: Structured, with good acidity that gives a pleasant freshness, but at the same time soft and round. Flavor: Ample and complex; red fruits in balance with notes of spices and vanilla.
The grapes are softly pressed and fermented in contact with the skins for 10-12 days for a long, cool fermentation. For an optimal extraction of the polyphenolic component, daily pumping over is carried out.
Pair with luxury meat dishes, laden with truffles.
This wine is exclusively bottled in extraordinary years, and this vintage was indeed exceptional. The vines thrived due to ample snowmelt, which provided deep soil moisture to ensure their well-being throughout the hot summer and an extended, mild harvest season.
