About this product

The Liberator Small Batch is a light but characterful blended whiskey. It has rich dried fruits on the nose, and black currant, cloves, orange zest, and pear drops, with a creamy mouthfeel, on the palate. The finish is medium length, with vanilla, almonds, and some spice. Wayward Spirits’ small batch blending is a collaborative process between their team of 3 blenders, bringing together John’sdecades of classic scotch perspective, Julia’s extensive knowledge of world whiskey, and Maurice’s determination to create something approachable and flavorful.

Pairings
Enjoy delving into the profile of the Double Port Finish by tasting it side by side with both a tawny and a ruby port. It also goes very nicely with an exceptional dark chocolate: Something at least 75 % cacao, with fruity or spicy notes, would make for a pairing truly worth savoring slowly.
Distillation
A premium blend, with an unusually high (42 %) content of malt whiskey (most blends have 5 to 15 % malt), giving it depth and complexity, while retaining the approachability of the grain component. The components are 42 % malt whiskey, pot still distilled from 100 % malted barley, and 58 % grain whiskey, column distilled from maize and wheat.
