About this product

A classic cool-climate wine, this vintage of estate Gewurztraminer-Riesling showcases aromatics of green apple, lychee, pink grapefruit, and rose petal. The palate builds on the charming aromatics, with the addition of Mayuka honey, ripe peach, tangerine, grilled pineapple, ginger, and passion fruit. Bright acid alongside ripe, sweet heirloom pear, and exotic fruit in this off-dry wine creates a beautifully balanced palate, suitable to a wide variety of food pairings.

Stainless steel at 15°C (59°F) for 3 weeks (including skin maceration)

The Vintage
Although cool weather and rain in 2019 reduced crop yields for whites, it enabled some very good quality fruit. Grapes like Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Viognier, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gewurztraminer fared well. It was a season where all varieties stayed on the vine longer than usual to balance PH, acidity, and Brix (sugar ripeness). In the fall, there was an unusual early frost that hit the later maturing grapes, reducing yields. Hard work, sorting, and careful winemaking brought out the best of what Mother Nature offered us.
